How we work

Partner-led, research-driven and discreet, in every practice.

Our principles

  • Partner-led

Every engagement is run personally by a senior member of the firm, from the first conversation to the outcome.

  • Research-driven

Fresh research on every engagement, with a written plan agreed with the client before any approach is made.

  • Discreet

Approaches are discreet and sequenced, and nothing is attributed to a client without their agreement.

  • Independent

An independent firm, advising in the client’s interest across leadership, transactions and corporate decisions.

Leadership Consulting

The six stages of a retained search

Indicative timelines from confirmation of the brief.
  1. 01

    Briefing and position specification

    Week 1

Agree the scope of the role, the criteria that qualify a candidate, the talent pools to be covered and the project structure. A client briefing document is prepared for use with candidates.

  2. 02

    Market mapping and concept candidates

    Weeks 1–2

Fresh research across each agreed pool, combined with referrals from networks built over 25 years. A concept candidate document is presented for discussion before any approach.

  3. 03

    Approach and interest check

    Weeks 1–2

Discreet, sequenced outreach to agreed profiles. Interest and availability are confirmed before any introduction, so no approach is attributed to the client.

  4. 04

    Assessment and shortlist

    Weeks 3–5

Written assessment against the brief for every shortlisted profile, followed by a calibration call with the client to refine the ongoing search.

  5. 05

    Client interviews

    Weeks 6–9

Panel and format agreed. Antik handles scheduling and coordination and gathers feedback from both sides after each round.

  6. 06

    Referencing, offer and onboarding

    Weeks 9–12

Formal referencing, compensation benchmarking and close. Ongoing contact through resignation, notice period and integration.

Every retained search carries a 12-month guarantee. If the appointee leaves within the guarantee period, Antik re-runs the search at no additional fee.

Transaction Advisory

How a transaction runs

From the first conversation through to agreed terms.
  1. 01

    Brief

Understand what is being bought, sold or combined, why, and on what timeline.

  2. 02

    Research

Research the market, the sector and potential counterparties, and agree a target list.

  3. 03

    Approach

Discreet approaches to buyers, sellers or partners, through our own relationships and Transworld’s marketplace.

  4. 04

    Negotiation

Support through evaluation and negotiation, until terms are agreed.

Corporate Advisory

How we work on corporate advisory

From the first conversation to the plan carried out.
  1. 01

    Objectives

Understand the business, its owners and what they want to achieve.

  2. 02

    Options

Research and set out the options: structures, markets, capital and partners.

  3. 03

    Plan

Agree a plan, and the steps and introductions needed to carry it out.

  4. 04

    Support

Partner-led support while the plan is carried out, in India and internationally.
