- Our client was looking to increase their investment portfolio in India. The person making investments in India had been based in Singapore, but a hands-on presence in India was required as they were also raising a new fund.

Client need
It was important that the person leading investments should have a strong background of having made investments, and having seen exits, in the impact sector in India.
The person should also have the maturity to sit on the boards of portfolio companies and manage the relationships with founders. Hands-on and detail-oriented.
The challenge
To identify senior candidates with a track record in investments across diverse impact sectors, for example financial services, health, agri, climate and education, and the ability to work independently until the business would be large enough to build a local team.
