- Mandate
- Market mapping and identification of the best third-party logistics talent in India
- Sector
- 3PL, Samara Capital portfolio
- Location
- India
- Outcome
- Successfully carried out the mapping of 3PL organisations in India with their key leaders and their compensation
Mandates led by Avneesh Raghuvanshi over the course of his career at previous firms, before Antik Consultants was established in August 2026.
The situation
- Situation that led to the mandate
- Our client was an investor in a logistics company called SpotOn, which was growing and had a solid customer base. The investors were looking to add warehousing capabilities through either a team acquisition or recruiting a senior leader who could build a team.
- Market
- Talent pool in India with existing 3PL players, or someone from a large corporate with strong in-house supply chain and warehousing.
- Timing
- Our commitment was to deliver the mapping of organisation structures, with brief profiles of senior leadership teams, within 2 weeks, followed by presenting interesting candidates within the next 2–3 weeks.
Client need
It was important that the person should have been a specialist in warehousing and logistics, with strong leadership skills and commercial acumen.
It was also important that the person should have an entrepreneurial mindset to build a business from the ground up.
The challenge
To define the organisation structures, with compensation details, at all the successful 3PL companies in a confidential and discreet manner, without mentioning details about our client. Thereafter, convincing and evaluating senior candidates who were willing to leave a large, well-established setup and join a start-up along with their teams, or with the leadership skills to build and retain teams.
The result
Mapping was completed and 3 shortlisted candidates presented their business plans. Samara Capital used the exercise to negotiate a higher valuation for the sale of its stake to Delhivery, with payouts to the specialists structured through employment in the parent company.
Impact for the client
Higher valuation for stake sale.
